Hit the Running Trails at Night!

Crisp air, sounds of wildlife, laughter, fun, and frivolity! What a great way to spend an evening with likeminded trail running friends. A group of us headed out for the first annual "Octoberfest in November: Beer, Bears, and Headlamps Run." The evening commenced with 7 of us running 7 miles through the dark trails and finished with hot chili and an Octoberfest style beer tasting. A great night had by all!

We had a blast. There were 7 of us of varying abilities. Everyone took it easy and had lots of good conversation. The Port Gamble Trails are a perfect place for a night run as far as I am concerned.

Once we got back we ate chili and sampled beers from around the world. A great time to just chill with my brother, sister-in-law, wife, good buddy, and nephews. Hope to do it again soon. Maybe run 10 next time!

Later!
